Industry Leading Scanner

The scanner places a series of 9 spots of 8 mm diameter, within the large 5.7 cm2 treatment area. The accurate spot overlap ensures an even energy distribution. Controls on the scanner itself enable the scan pattern to be changed conveniently to a single line or a single 8 mm spot for treating smaller areas, as well as enabling power adjustment options.

Safe Treatment

Treatment safety is enhanced by a combination of super long-pulse technology and contact cooling. The super longpulse enables safe treatment of darker skin types, and the pre, parallel and post treatment contact cooling down to 0°C increases patient comfort and minimizes the risk of unwanted side effects. An integrated power meter enables practitioners to verify power output at any time.

Compact, Easy to Use and Cost Efficient

The VariMed system is compact and portable. The intuitive user-friendly interface is easy to navigate, and running costs are minimized as it requires no consumables. The MedArt scanner is easy to operate with ergonomic design and a weight of just 290 g. The attached sapphire window provides pre, parallel and post treatment cooling.

Vascular Lesions

Transcutaneous Treatment of Vascular Lesions

Operating at 810 nm enables high absorption in oxyhaemoglobin combined with sufficient penetration depth to target larger, deeper vessels. Vessels of up to 4 mm in diameter are successfully treated. Often only a single treatment is required to close veins or clear lesions. During treatment the smallest veins immediately contract and disappear, whereas larger vessels coagulate and are absorbed in due course.

Integrated Contact Cooling System

The focused handpiece with a sapphire glass cooling window enables a more comfortable treatment of large vessels. The cooling system gives superior contact cooling, providing excellent skin protection during treatment especially for darker skin types, thus reducing the risk of side effects.

A Multi Purpose Vascular Solution

VariMed can now be upgraded for endovascular treatment of vena saphena magna and vena saphena parva using a bare fiber, making VariMed the complete vascular treatment system.
